Assenagon is a financial services company, independent of banks and active all over Europe, that combines asset management and risk management. Because of its high innovativeness and long-time structuring experience, our company can give answers especially to the current challenges posed by the financial crisis.

As asset managers, we attend to capital, strict adhering to previously defined risk budgets. By employing derivatives, we safeguard the portfolios, harmonise the payment flows, and thereby tap new income potential for our clients. Here, our service spectrum covers the development of white label products, the assumption of overlay mandates and the conception of own funds.

In addition, we create new scope of action for our clients by liquidity preserving restructuring or professional management of their existing portfolios. Thus, for example, we manage and restructure portfolios of banks as part of their certificate business.

As a supplement, we offer risk measurement, risk management and individual reporting according to the latest scientific standards. Our clients receive a maximum of transparency and thereby the basis for the correct assessment of the amount of risk their business can bear. This also includes the implementation of internal models for insurers to meet Solvency II requirements.

Assenagon has two operative units in Luxembourg and Germany, regulated by the Luxembourg Supervisory Authority Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
