Hedging
Hedging is the protection of securities positions against a contrary price development through the purchase or sale of, for example, derivatives (futures, options, swaps) that are suitable to profit from the same price development.
High Yield
The term is used for fixed-income securities rated equally to or below BB+ or Ba1 (or unrated) by a recognized rating agency. Sometimes also referred to as "speculative-grade" or "non-investment grade". More information about Assenagon Credit funds can be found here.
Hurdle-Rate
Hurdle rate refers to the return hurdle in percent that the fund management must achieve in a fund before the capital management company receives a share of the profits.
Hybrid bonds
Bond-like securities that are considered to contribute to an issuer's equity because they have equity-like features, such as a perpetual or very long maturity and the issuer's discretion to defer coupon payments.
