Assenagon Expands Wholesale Distribution Team

Independent asset manager Assenagon is further expanding its distribution team. As of 1 September 2026, Karolin Priebe has joined the firm as Director, responsible for wholesale distribution across northern and eastern Germany. She will cover savings banks, cooperative banks, asset managers and independent financial advisers. Priebe reports to Tobias Ritter, Head of Wholesale Germany & Austria.

Karolin Priebe has an in-depth understanding of the regional distribution landscape and the specific needs of our clients and partners. Her extensive experience and strong network will help us further expand our local presence and deepen existing client relationships," says Ritter.

Priebe brings 20 years of experience in B2B asset management distribution. She joins Assenagon from private bank Berenberg, where she most recently served as a Wholesale Specialist.

Her appointment marks another step in Assenagon’s strategic expansion of its distribution organisation. "We are deliberately investing in dedicated client contacts and broader regional coverage. Since 2024, we have added a total of eight professionals to our distribution and client coverage teams across the DACH region, strengthening both our wholesale and institutional businesses," says Matthias Kunze, Head of Distribution and Managing Director of Assenagon.
